This song is called Marvins Room by Drake. This is one of Drakes biggest hits. The song is really powerful and a lot of people can relate to it. This song involves relationships because the lyrics convey drakes feelings about his past girlfriend and how he feels about her new boyfriend. In the chorus he repeatedly says "Im just saying you can do better, tell me have you heard that lately." Clearly Drake is missing this girl. We can see in the lyrics that this ended relationship between Drake and this girl is making him feel awful and do things that are only hurting him. He keeps going back to getting drunk because he is so upset that she cant "kick it" any more. He continually talks about how he keeps drinking more and more as if he was drowning himself in his sorrow. The song is really interesting and besides the point that drake it making it also includes a great beat and flow.
This song also brings up a topic discussed in class through the elements of style. During this song we can clearly see the Drake is depressed and is turning to liquor as a way to escape the fact that this girl is now with another guy. He talks about calling this girl and begins expressing his sins and mistakes just saying that he needed someone to take the weight off. We can see that progressively he begins to become more upset and desperate to speak to this girl. The song portrays a lot of feeling and passion.
